AN ACT relating to state parks, historical and other sites; amending the allowed use of permit fees as specified; continuously appropriating funds; providing for a plan and report as specified; providing an additional appropriation; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

121(h) is amended to read:

36-4-121.

Permits to use state parks, recreation areas and historic sites.

(h)

The funds received by the department from the sale of the permits shall be deposited in a capital construction account within the enterprise fund
and
may be expended by the
division
department
for
capital construction projects
, major maintenance,
and site interpretation such as exhibits, signage and displays
as approved by the legislature.

Section 2.

There is appropriated seven million dollars ($7,000,000.00) from the general fund to the department of state parks and cultural resources, to fund road construction and major maintenance needs at outdoor recreation areas and facilities as defined in W.S. 36

103. The department shall prepare a five-year plan addressing capital needs, budget and need for general funds, if any. The department shall submit its plan and a report to the joint appropriations and joint travel, recreation and wildlife interim committees by December 30, 2005.

This act is effective immediately upon co

pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit

tion.
