Sponsored by: Senator(s) Barrasso and Boggs and Representative(s) Berger, Gay, Harvey, Walsh and Zwonitzer A BILL for AN ACT relating to seatbelts; permitting the halting of a vehicle for seatbelt violations if the driver appears to be under eighteen years of age; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 1402(d) is amended to read: 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 1402. Safety belts required to be used; exceptions; reduction in fine. (d) No motor vehicle shall be halted solely for a violation of this section unless it appears to the peace officer that the driver of the vehicle is under eighteen (18) years of age . Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2005. (END) 1 SF0066
