AN ACT relating to homicide; establishing the offense of homicide of an unborn child when mother is murdered; imposing a penalty; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Homicide of an unborn child; penalty.

Whoever willfully and deliberately kills any pregnant woman, knowing that the woman is pregnant and thereby causes the involuntary termination of the woman's pregnancy without a live birth is guilty of homicide of an unborn child, and shall be imprisoned in the penitentiary for any term not less than twenty (20) years.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2005.
