WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL SENATE FILE NO. 0148 ENROLLED ACT NO. 33, SENATE FIFTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2005 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to volunteer firemen's pension fund; increasing benefits; specifying applicability; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 35 ‑ 9 ‑ 608(d) is amended to read: 35 ‑ 9 ‑ 608. Benefits enumerated; death of participant or spouse; amount and payment of contributions; withdrawal from plan. (d) The following table sets forth the member's pension benefit, surviving spouse's benefit and children's benefit for all entry ages. The amounts set forth in this table are applicable to members participating on a twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12.50) per month contribution basis: Age at Entry Into Ret. The increase to benefits payable from the volunteer firemen's pension fund pursuant to W.S. 35 ‑ 9 ‑ 608(d), as amended under section 1 of this act, shall apply to participating volunteer firemen retiring on or after July 1, 2005, as well as to participating volunteer firemen retiring prior to July 1, 2005. Any cost-of-living adjustment provided under W.S. 35 ‑ 9 ‑ 608(g) prior to July 1, 2005, shall not be readjusted based upon benefit adjustments made in accordance with section 1 of this act. Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2005.
