A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to the department of transportation; authorizing additional Wyoming highway patrol officers; providing an appropriation and authorizing positions; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

In addition to any other appropriation for the Wyoming highway patrol, there is appropriated for the biennium commencing July 1, 2006 three million seven hundred thirty-four thousand dollars ($3,734,000.00) from the general fund to the department of transportation to hire, train and equip twenty (20) additional highway patrol troopers.

Section 2.

The department of transportation is authorized an additional twenty (20) full-time positions for purposes of this act.

Section 3.

This act is effective immediately upon co

pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit
