A BILL

AN ACT relating to game and fish; providing for free resident disabled veterans lifetime conservation stamps; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

Conservation stamp; exemptions.

(a)

Subject to

201 shall purchase a single conservation stamp for ten dollars ($10.00) which shall be valid for one (1) calendar year and in the possession of any person exercising rights under any fishing or hunting license issued pursuant to W.S. 23

107 or 23
‑

‑
201. Holders of pioneer licenses as defined under W.S. 23
‑

‑
705(d) and (e), of special limited fishing permits issued under W.S. 23
‑

‑
207 and holders of licenses only under W.S. 23

‑
101(j)(v) and (vi), 23
‑
2
‑
201(d)(vi) and (vii) and 23
‑

‑
201(f) are exempt from the provisions of this section. Revenues collected from the sale of each stamp under this subsection shall be deposited as follows:

Any resident disabled veteran who receives fifty percent (50%) or more service connected disability compensation from the United States department of veteran's affairs may apply to the department for a resident disabled veteran's lifetime conservation stamp. Application shall include proof of residency required under W.S. 23

101(a), certification of the applicant's service connected disability and other information required by rule and regulation of the commission. Notwithstanding subsections (a) and (b) of this section, a disabled veteran's lifetime conservation stamp shall be issued to an eligible applicant without payment of any fee.

Section 2.

This act is effective January 1, 2007.
