A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to the administration of government; providing for the purchase of the Stor
e
y gymnasium building; providing an appropriation; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Wyoming
:

Section 1.

(a)

There is appropriated not to exceed one million nine hundred thousand dollars ($1,900,000.00) from the general fund to the department of administration and information. If the conditions of this section are met to the satisfaction of the department, the department shall transfer up to one million three hundred thousand dollars ($1,300,000.00) of the appropriation to
Laramie

County

School District
#1 for the purchase of the Stor
e
y Gym and associated grounds in the city of
Cheyenne
. The department shall not release the funds to the school district unless and until t
he school district agrees to sell, and
the department on behalf of the state agrees to buy, the Stor
e
y Gym building and grounds in an agreed upon purchase price not to exceed one million three hundred thousand dollars ($1,300,000.00);

y Gym building and grounds are located at

Wyoming
.

(c)

If the department and
Laramie

County

School District
#1 school board cannot agree to purchase terms by December 31, 2006, all sums appropriated
in this act
shall revert to the general fund.

(d)

If the property is purchased as provided in subsection (a) of this section, six hundred thousand dollars (
$
600,000.00) of the appropriation, or as much thereof as necessary, shall be used by the department for the maintenance of the purchased property during the
fiscal
biennium
commencing July 1, 2006
.

Section 2.
This act is effective immediately upon co
m
pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit
u
tion.
