WORKING DRAFT 2006 STATE OF WYOMING 06LSO-0467 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0176 Aviation and aerospace education appropriation. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Edwards and Senator(s) Barrasso A BILL for AN ACT relating to the aeronautics commission; providing an appropriation to implement aviation and aerospace education programs as specified; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. (a) There is appropriated two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) from the general fund to the aeronautics commission for the biennium beginning July 1, 2006 to implement the purposes of W.S. 10 ‑ 3 ‑ 201(c), including the following: (i) The establishment of an industrial technology course in aeronautics mechanics; (ii) The establishment of a visiting lecturer series to complement the air show and fly-in program; (iii) The enhancement of safety at Wyoming airports by assisting in pilot education and continuing education; (iv) The establishment of educational opportunities to increase the number of volunteers involved in statewide search and rescue operations; and (v) The implementation of a statewide aviation industry conference for aviation mechanics, fixed base operators, aircraft rescue and firefighting professionals, ground school operators, airport construction professionals, aviation manufacturers, insurance companies, airport managers and board members, pilots and aviation fuel vendors .
