Subject: Retirement contributions for state employees while on military duty. Summary/Major Elements: Current law allows up to two years of credit in the state retirement system for a state employee who is called to active military service. This act appropriates $125,000 to the state retirement board for the balance of the biennium to fund retirement system contributions on behalf of those employees.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL HOUSE BILL NO. 0015 ENROLLED ACT NO. 33, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FIFTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2007 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to state employee retirement; providing an appropriation for state employees serving in the United States military, as specified; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000.00), or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the general fund to the Wyoming retirement board for fiscal years 2007 and 2008 to fund military service retirement credits for retirement system members pursuant to W.S. 9 ‑ 3 ‑ 417(c). Section 2. This act is effective immediately upon co m pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit u tion.
