summary of available Hathaway scholarships
, curriculum
requirements to earn a scholarship
and
earning differences anticipated at various post-secondary education levels
. Students enrolling for grade nine (9) in the 2007
-2008 school year
and thereafter
shall be registered for the success curricula required under this section for Hathaway scholarship recipients in each year of grades nine (9) through twelve (12) unless the student and the student's parent or guardian execute a written waiver in accordance with this subsection.

Together with the other information required under this subsection each student enrolling in ninth grade shall be provided a waiver form which explains that by signing the waiver the student and parent understand the student is electing not to take a curriculum which is required for a Hathaway scholarship and that by doing so the student may be limiting opportunities for other scholarships available to attend college.
For any student initially enrolling in a school district in grades ten (10) through twelve (12) in the 2007-2008 school year and thereafter, the district shall provide the same information and waiver unless the student and his parent have previously executed a waiver in another Wyoming school district or the student can no longer meet the curriculum requirements of this section.

Section 2.
This act is effective July 1, 2007.
