AN ACT relating to breastfeeding; exempting breastfeeding from the indecent exposure statute; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

201 by creating a new subsection (b) and by renumbering (b) as (c) is amended to read:

Public indecency; exception; penalties.

(b)

The act of breastfeeding an infant child, including breastfeeding in any place where the woman may legally be, does not constitute public indecency.

(b)
(c)

Public indecency is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, a fine of not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), or both.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2007.
