Sponsored by: Representative(s) Diercks A BILL for AN ACT relating to crimes and offenses; providing penalties for interference with an emergency medical technician as specified; providing a definition; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 6 ‑ 5 ‑ 213 is created to read: 6 ‑ 5 ‑ 213. Interference with emergency personnel; penalties. (a) A person commits a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or both, if he knowingly obstructs, impedes or interferes with an emergency medical technician while engaged in the lawful performance of his duties. (b) As used in this section, "emergency medical technician" means as defined by W.S. 33-36-102(a)(x). Section 2. This act is effective immediately upon co m pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit u tion. (END) 1 HB0142
