AN ACT relating to cities and towns; providing for vacation of public parks for school or educational purposes; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

General powers of governing bodies.

(a)

The governing bodies of all cities and towns may:

305 vacate from public use any property acquired or held for park purposes, if
:

(D)

T
he city or town has held title to the property for more than ten (10) years and no substantial use has been made thereof for park purposes;
or

(E)

The property will be used for public school or public educational purposes after the vacation.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2007.
