Prairie dog relocation; penalty.

(a)

No prairie dog may be relocated into
or within
Wyoming
without the written consent of the landowner
where the prairie dog is being relocated to.

(b)

Any person violating subsection (a) of this section is guilt
y
of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or imprisoned for not more than six (6) months, or both for each offense. The director is authorized to investigate alleged violations and to file a complaint with the proper district attorney for the prosecution of the violation.
