Summary/Major Elements:

This act requires that a
contract between a construction manager at-risk and a public entity shall
comply with the residency and preference requirements imposed under W.S. 16-6-101
through 16-6-107 in the procurement of subcontractors and materials;

W.S. 16-6-102 and 16-6-103
require the use of resident contractors if their bid is within 5% of the lowest
submitted bid for a contract let by a public entity and that a resident contractor
who wins a bid cannot subcontract more than a set percentage of the work to
nonresident subcontractors. W.S. 16-6-104 states that preference shall be
given for Wyoming workers in contracts for public construction; and

W.S. 16-6-105 through 16-6-107
provide for the use and preference of Wyoming products in public works
contracts if the bid submitted using Wyoming products is within 5% of the
lowest submitted bid submitted.

(b)

Formal requests for proposal for preconstruction or construction services by a construction manager submitted by a public entity shall require at least the following information:

(c)
