WORKING DRAFT 2007 STATE OF WYOMING 07LSO-0633.L2 HOUSE BILL NO. Nurses-use of title . Sponsored by: Representative(s) Miller A BILL for AN ACT relating to nurses; allowing persons who provide nonmedical support services to use the title " nurse " under certain circumstances; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 33 ‑ 21 ‑ 145 (b) and by creating a new subsection (c) is amended to read: 33 ‑ 21 ‑ 145. Violations; penalties. (b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (c) of this section, v iolation of any of the provisions of this act constitutes a misdemeanor and upon conviction, the person is subject to a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, or both. (c ) No provision of this act shall be co nstrued to prohibit a person who provides nonmedical support services from using the title of " nurse " when offering or providing services to a member of his religio us organization in the free exercise of that religion. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2007. (END) 1
