Summary/Major Elements: Old numbering system was confusing as to which statutory provisions applied to alternative forms of municipal government which includes city manager, municipal commission, etc. This bill renumbers the statutes and clarifies that they apply to all forms of alternative municipal government.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL SENATE FILE NO. 0042 ENROLLED ACT NO. 49, SENATE FIFTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2007 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to cities and towns; renumbering specified sections regarding property, financial affairs, streets, subdivisions and utilities; specifying applicability of the article; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 210 is renumbered as 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 301, 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 213 as 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 302, 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 220 as 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 303, 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 229 as 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 304, 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 242 as 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 305, 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 244 through 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 251 as 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 306 through 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 313 under article 3, property, financial affairs, contracts, streets, subdivisions and utilities. Section 2. W.S. 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 314 is created to read: 15 ‑ 4 ‑ 314. Applicability of article. The provisions of this article shall apply to any form of alternative city government authorized under this chapter. Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2007.
