Sponsored by: Senator(s) Case and Representative(s) Gingery and McOmie A BILL for AN ACT relating to criminal procedure; removing restrictions on jury sequestration in capital cases; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 7 ‑ 11 ‑ 206(a) is amended to read: 7 ‑ 11 ‑ 206. Separation of jury. (a) In the trial of any criminal case to a jury, the court may , except for capital cases allow the jurors to separate during the trial and after the case is submitted to them. Section 2. W.S. 7 ‑ 11 ‑ 206(b) is repealed. Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2007. (END) 1 SF0049
