Aggravated assault and battery; penalty.

(a)

A person is guilty of aggravated assault and battery if he:

(i)

Causes serious bodily injury to another intentionally, knowingly or recklessly
;

under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life;

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2007.
