A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to the state budget process; providing a penalty for violation of budget restrictions as specified; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

1007 by creating new subsections (c) and (d) is amended to read:

Restrictions on indebtedness and expenditures of state agencies; allotment system.

(c)

Any official, officer or employee of the state of Wyoming who knowingly and willfully violates or attempts to violate subsection (a) of this section, or who, having authority to do so or claiming authority to do so, knowingly and willfully orders or attempts to order another to violate subsection (a) of this section, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00).

(d)

Any official, officer or employee of the state of Wyoming who knowingly and willfully violates or attempts to violate subsection (a) of this section may be dismissed.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2007.
