WORKING DRAFT 2008 STATE OF WYOMING 08LSO-0254 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0072 Unemployment benefits restriction. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Madden A BILL for AN ACT relating to unemployment benefits; specifying that fail ing or failure to take a drug test will disqualify a person from benefits under certain circumstances; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 27 ‑ 3 ‑ 311(f) is amended to read: 27 ‑ 3 ‑ 311. Disqualifications from entitlement; grounds; forfeiture. (f) An individual shall be disqualified from benefit entitlement beginning with the effective date of an otherwise valid claim or the week during which the failure occurred, until he has been employed in an employee-employer relationship and has earned at least twelve (12) times the weekly benefit amount of his current claim for services after that date, if the department finds that he w as discharged from his most recent work for : (i) M isconduct connected with his work ; . or (ii) Fail ing or failure to take a drug test if the drug test is required pursuant to a regularly enforced company policy. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2008. (END) 1 HB0072
