Subject: Wyoming Partnership Challenge Loan Program appropriation. Summary/Major Elements: Provides a $2,000,000 general fund appropriation to the Wyoming Partnership Challenge Loan Program, created at W.S. 9-12-302(a) (the successor to the Amendment IV program). The funds shall be loaned to community development organizations and state development organizations in accordance with the provisions of W.S. 9-12-304, including, but not limited to, make loans to Wyoming businesses and investments in support of Wyoming businesses, such as infrastructure construction loans and occupational training loans, bridge loans and loans for economic disaster areas as specified by statute. Only the funds shall be appropriated in any given fiscal year. Popular name: Amendment IV funds Comment: Final action on this bill was not taken at the time this summary was prepared. Should changes be made to the bill upon final passage, an updated summary will be transmitted to all legislators.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL HOUSE BILL NO. 0153 ENROLLED ACT NO. 61, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FIFTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2008 BUDGET SESSION AN ACT relating to economic development; providing an appropriation as specified to an account within the revolving investment fund created under article 16, section 12 of the Wyoming constitution; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. There is appropriated from the general fund two million dollars ($ 2 ,000,000.00) to the economic development account, as defined in W.S. 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 301(a)(iii), within the revolving investment fund created under article 16, section 12 of the Wyoming constitution, to be used as specified in W.S. 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 302. Of this amount, only on e -half (1/2) shall be loaned out in any fiscal year. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2008.
