WORKING DRAFT 2008 STATE OF WYOMING 08LSO-0336 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0172 Homicide during pregnancy. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Harshman, Gingery and Olsen and Senator(s) Ross A BILL for AN ACT relating to crimes and offenses ; establishing the offense of involuntary termination of pregnancy ; imposing a penalty; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 6 ‑ 2 ‑ 109 is created to read: 6 ‑ 2 ‑ 109. Involuntary termination of pregnancy; penalty . Whoever willfully kills any pregnant woman knowing that the woman is pregnant, and thereby causes the involuntary termination of the woman's pregnancy without a live birth, is guilty of involuntary termination of pregnancy , and in addition to any penalty imposed for the homicide of the woman shall be imprisoned in the penitent iary for not less than twenty (20) years and not more than life. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2008. (END) 1 HB0172
