Summary/Major Elements:

The act authorizes:

o

The department of corrections
to establish rules and regulations to impose administrative sanctions as an
alternative to revocation of parole for violations of conditions of parole;

o

The granting of "good
time" reductions in the length of parole for parolees who comply with the
terms of their parole (inmates of correctional facilities currently may earn
such "good time" reductions of their sentences of imprisonment);

o

The removal of previously
earned "good time" allowances and the withholding of future
"good time" allowances for inmates and parolees.
