Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

107 by creating a new subsection (c) is amended to read:

Payment of assistance; custodian for incompetent recipients; drug
screens

(c)

Notwithstanding any other provision of
Wyoming

or

ederal
law, the department shall
establish a program to

screen
welfare recipients for
the
use of controlled substances
. The department may withhold payments from
welfare recipients who test positive for
the
use of controlled substances
under the screening process in this subsection
.
The department shall assist a welfare recipient who tests positive under
the screening process in
this
sub
section in obtaining treatment for addiction to controlled substances.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2008.
