Sponsored by: Representative(s) Goggles, Craft and McOmie and Senator(s) Case and Vasey A BILL for AN ACT relating to cooperative educational serv ices; expanding the scope of cooperative services and programs provided under agreement between school districts; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 21 ‑ 20 ‑ 102 is amended to read: 21 ‑ 20 ‑ 102. Purpose. The purpose of this act is to provide a method whereby school districts and community college districts or any combination may work together and cooperate to provide educational services, including but not limited to postsecondary education, vocational-technical education, adult education , and services for children with disabilities and the history, language and epistemology of native American Indian and Hispanic or Latino cultures , when the services can be more effectively provided through a cooperative effort. Educational services provided under this act by or in cooperation with public schools shall be subject to the standards for educational programs imposed under W.S. 21 ‑ 9 ‑ 101 and 21 ‑ 9 ‑ 102, and by rule and regulation of the state board. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2009. (END) 1 HB0219
