Sponsored by: Senator(s) Johnson and Representative(s) Bagby, Gingery and Throne A BILL for AN ACT relating to government operations; making interference with a process server a crime; providing penalties; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 6 ‑ 5 ‑ 214 is created to read: 6 ‑ 5 ‑ 214. Interference with a process server. (a) A person com m its a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year , a fine of not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), or both, if he: (i) Knowingly and willfully obstructs, resists, or opposes any officer of this state, or other person duly authorized, in serving, or attempting to serve or execute, any legal or judicial writ or process of any court of this state; or (ii) A ssaults, beats or wounds any officer or other person duly authorized, k nowing him to be such officer, or other person so duly authorized, i n serving or executing any writ, rule, order, process, warrant or other legal or judicial writ or process of any court of this state.
