A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to
public education; appropriating funds to the department of education for an additional position to coordinate public school health programs; imposing reporting requirements;
and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Wyoming
:

Section 1.

(a)

Eighty-seven thousand dollars ($87,000.00) is appropriated from the public school foundation program account to the department of education for an additional full-time position to provide coordination and supervision of s
chool
health programs provided
within
Wyoming
school districts. This appropriation is for the period commencing July 1, 2009, and ending June 30, 2010, and shall only be expended for the additional position authorized under this section.

(b)

On or before October 1, 2009, the department shall report to the joint education interim committee on the status of the position authorized under this section and the duties assigned to this program consultant position.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2009.
