WORKING DRAFT 2009 STATE OF WYOMING 09LSO-0547.E1 SENATE FILE NO. SF0119 Public transportation funding. Sponsored by: Senator(s) Peterson, Coe and Geis and Representative(s) Bonner A BILL for AN ACT relating to the Wyoming depar tment of transportation; providing an appropriation supplementing available federal funds for intercity transit as specified; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. (a) For the period beginning July 1, 2009, and ending June 30, 2010, two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00) is appropriated from the general fund to the Wyoming department of transportation to supplement available federal transit administration intercity funds distributed by the department to the big horn basin transportation authority established pursuant to a joint powers agreement under W.S. 16 ‑ 1 ‑ 102 through 16 ‑ 1 ‑ 109 . Expenditures of this general fund appropriation shall be restricted to use by the transportation authority in contractual agreements necessary for continued operation of regional transportation services from Shoshoni to the Montana state line and feeder routes along the way and shall not be distributed by the department until receipt of a required local match of not less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) . (b) To the extent 2009 House Bill 0001, as enacted into law, appropriates any funds to the department of transportation for the purposes stated in this act, then the appropriations in this act shall be reduced by the amount of the appropriations in 2009 House Bill 0001. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2009. (END) 1 SF0119
