lobbying; restricting lobbying by the five statewide elected officials and
state legislators

two
years after leaving office;
providing penalties;
and providing for an effective date.

Wyoming

Registration; reports; restrictions.

(d)

Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, a former elected
state
official
or a former state legislator
shall not become a lobbyist or engage in lobbying that would require registration under subsection (b) of this section for a
two
(

) year period beginning on the day the elected
state
official
or state legislator
leaves office and ending on the
two
(
2
) year anniversary of that day. This subsection does not apply if the former elected
state
official or
former state legislator
engages in
lobbying on behalf of himself.

Penalties.

(a)

Any person or individual failing to register as a lobbyist with the secretary of state
or who violates W.S. 28

‑
101(d)
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor subject to a fine of not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).

Section 2.
This act is effective July 1, 2010.
