Absences and leaves not considered interruptions in service; retirement.

(a)

Absences and leaves of absence approved by the employing board shall not be considered as interruptions in service for purposes of determining continuing contract status.

(b)

On and after July 1, 2010,
receipt
of
benefits under a
r
etirement
plan provided by the district pursuant to W.S. 21
‑
7
‑
301 and the
Wyoming
Retirement Act
shall be considered as an interruption in service for the purpose of determining continuing contract status.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2010.
