Summary/Major Elements: Previously W.S. 3-1-110 limited the information that could be included within a sealed file of a ward of the state to those items listed in W.S. 16-4-203(a) and (d). This act allows inclusion of any personally identifiable information, including financial information related to the ward to be included in the sealed file of the ward.
WORKING DRAFT 2011 STATE OF WYOMING 11LSO-0388 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0067 Circuit court magistrates-elimination. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Gingery A BILL for AN ACT relating to circuit courts; eliminating full-time circuit c o urt magistrates as specified; repealing and amending provisions relating to full-time circuit court magistrates; authorizing currently appointed full-time magistrates to complete their terms of appointment; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 202 and 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 214 are amended to read: 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 202. Circuit court to enter order appointing magistrates. The circuit court in open court shall enter an order appointing each full ‑ time magistrate of the circuit court under W.S. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 206 and each part ‑ time magistrate of the circuit court under W.S. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 210 and shall enter the order upon the journal. A certified copy of the journal entry shall be evidence of the appointment in all courts of this state. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 214. Circuit court to review orders; approval or disapproval. The circuit court shall at each term review and approve or disapprove, reverse or modify orders made by, and proceedings had before, magistrates in proceedings under W.S. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 208(c)(v), (vii) through (ix), (xiii)(F) and (xvii) and 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 212(a)(v), (vii), (xi) and (xiii) through (xv). Section 2. W.S. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 201(a), 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 206 through 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 209 and 34 ‑ 26 ‑ 103(a)(vi) are repealed. Section 3. Any person duly appointed and performing the duties of a full-time magistrate under W.S. 5 ‑ 9 ‑ 207(a) on July 1, 2011 may serve the remainder of the term for which he was appointed. Section 4.
