Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Wyoming
:

Section 1.

(
a
)

For school year 2011
‑
201
2
, t
he University of Wyoming and each Wyoming community college providing any course through distance education for high school and college credit under the post secondary education options program pursuant to W.S. 21
‑
20
‑
201 shall receive a payment from the foundation program account
in an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each student enrolled in the course of instruction.
Payment shall be
:

(i)

M
ade upon application to the department
of education
, in a manner, on a form and within a time prescribed by department rule and regulation;

(ii)

C
omputed based upon each enrolled high school student from a high school outside the school dis
trict in which the college instructor primarily responsible for course instruction is located
; and

(iii)

Subject to a pro rata reduction if there is insufficient funds appropriated by the legislature for purposes of this section
.

(
b
)

To make payments to the University of Wyoming and to community colleges as authorized under this section, and f
or the period commencing July 1, 2011, and ending June 30, 2012, two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00) is appropriated
to the department of education
from
unexpended, unobligated monies existing as of June 30, 2011, which were appropriated from the
school foundation program account
to Education Reform under 2010 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 39, Section 205.

ection 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2011.
