Summary/Major Elements: ● Amends Animal Damage Management Board requirements to report on or before November 30 each year (previously December 31) to the governor, the joint agriculture, public lands and water resources interim committee and joint appropriations interim committee. ● Requires the inclusion of the following in the report: o Actions taken; o Accomplishments; and o State monies expended by each county predator management board participating in state funding. ● Repeals a 2006 Session Law which required the same information be reported by the Department of Agriculture to the same legislative entities. Comments: ● Amends the reporting requirements of the Animal Damage Management Board. ● Repeals 2006 Wyo. Sess. Laws , Ch. 87, Sect. 2(a)(iii).
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL SENATE FILE NO. 0006 ENROLLED ACT NO. 11, SENATE SIXTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2011 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to agriculture and animals; combining reports re lating to the animal damage management board; modifying dates and transferring responsibility for reporting; modifying board duties; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 11 ‑ 6 ‑ 304(f) is amended to read: 11 ‑ 6 ‑ 304. ADMB responsibilities; animal damage management policy; rules; methods to manage predatory animals, predacious birds, depredating animals and rabid wildlife; manner of calling meetings; frequency. (f) The board shall investigate, test and refine the concept and practices of integrated predator management. The board shall develop and establish measurable goals and objectives. The board shall report to the governor and the joint agriculture, public lands and water resources interim committee and joint appropriations interim committee on or before December 31 November 30 of each year to determine the progress the board has made toward achieving the goals and objectives it has established. The report shall also include actions taken , the accomplishments and stat e monies expended by each county predator management board participating in state funding. Section 2 . 2006 Wyomi n g Session Laws, Chapter 87, Section 2 (a) (iii) is repealed. Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2011.
