Regulation of smoking in public; authority.

(a)

To promote the public health and safety, a board of county commissioners may adopt
a resolution
prohibiting smoking in enclosed public places
within the county
.

(b)

A board of county
commissioners may adopt
a
resolution

delegating to the county health
department
or joint city and county health
department the authority to adopt regulations prohibiting smoking in enclosed public places within the county.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2011.
