A BILL for AN ACT relating to county powers and authority; authorizing counties to prohibit smoking in public places; authorizing counties to delegate to local public health departments the authority to adopt regulations prohibiting smoking in public places; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 18 ‑ 2 ‑ 116 is created to read: 18 ‑ 2 ‑ 116. Regulation of smoking in public; authority. (a) To promote the public health and safety, a board of county commissioners may adopt a resolution prohibiting smoking in enclosed public places within the county . (b) A board of county commissioners may adopt a resolution delegating to the county health department or joint city and county health department the authority to adopt regulations prohibiting smoking in enclosed public places within the county. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2011. (END) 1 SF0012
