Comments: The act appropriates $595,600 from the general fund to the board of land commissioners to pay for the land.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL SENATE FILE NO. 0033 ENROLLED ACT NO. 65, SENATE SIXTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2011 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to state parks and cultural resources; authorizing the acceptance of lands as specified; authorizing the purchase of lands from the state board of land commissioners as specified; providing an appropriation; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. (a) The legislature authorizes the acceptance of the following lands to be managed by the department of state parks and historic sites upon final negotiation with the appropriate parties: (i) Forty ( 40 ) acres of land in the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 23, Township 27 North, Range 66 West in Platte County know n commonly as the Historic Golf Course at Guernsey State Park. (b) The board of land commissioners is authorized and directed to convey its right, title and interest, in the surface estate of the following described parcel of land to the department of state parks and cultural resources: (i) For inclusion into Curt Gowdy state park, one hundred fifty-seven (157) acres of land located in the North 1/2 of Section 16, Township 14 North, Range 70 West and in the North 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 16, Township 14 North, Range 70 West. Section 2. (a) There is appropriated an amount not to exceed five hundred ninety-five thousand six hundred dollars ($ 595,600 .00) from the general fund to the state board of land commissioners for the period beginning with the effective date of this act and ending June 30, 2012 for purposes of funding the purchase provided in section 1(b) of this act. N otwithstanding any other provision of law, this appropriation shall not be transferred or expended for any other purpose and any unexpended, unobligated funds remaining from this appropriation shall revert as provided by law on June 30, 2012. Section 3 . This act is effective immediately upon co m pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit u tion.
