This act creates an account for appropriations to the program and continuously appropriates the monies within that account to the tourism board. This act extends the sunset date for the program from June 30, 2011 to June 30, 2016. Comments: Contains delayed effective/repeal date: Extends sunset to June 30, 2016
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL SENATE FILE NO. 0041 ENROLLED ACT NO. 8, SENATE SIXTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2011 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to travel and tourism; extending sunset for film industry financial incentives program; creating an account; providing a continuous appropriation; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming : Section 1. W.S. 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 40 2 and 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 407 are amended to read: 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 402. Film industry financial incentive program; creation; account. (a) There is created the film industry financial incentive program to encourage the use of this state as a site for filming and providing production services for filmed entertainment. The program shall be administered by the Wyoming tourism board. (b) There is created the film industry financial incentive program account. Funds shall be credited to the account as provided by law and shall not revert to the general fund . Funds in the account are continuously appropriated to the board to be used only for reimbursement of a qualified production's qualified expenditures authorized to be made under this article. The Wyoming tourism board shall report in its budget the balance carried forward in the account. All funds appropriated to the film industry incentives program which are unobligated are hereby appropriated to the account. 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 407 . Sunset provision. W.S. 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 402 through 9 ‑ 12 ‑ 406 are repealed effective June 30, 2011 2016 . Section 2 . This act is effective immediately upon co m pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit u tion.
