Practice of Equipment Manufacturers, Distributors, Wholesalers and Dealers Act
(W.S. 40-20-101 through 40-20-123) to include within the definition of
"equipment": "multi-purpose vehicles",
"snowmobiles", and "off-road recreation vehicles".

Wyoming
dealers who sell the aforementioned equipment
are subject to the provisions of the

Fair Practice of Equipment Act.

●

The Fair Practices of
Equipment Manufacturers, Distributors, Wholesalers and Dealers Act generally:
allows a dealer to return to a supplier surplus parts inventory as specified,
imposes violations for certain actions of an equipment supplier, specifies
procedure for termination of equipment dealer agreements, provides for
reimbursement for warranty work, and regulates other aspects of the equipment
supplier/dealer relationship.

Wyoming

Definitions.

(a)

As used in this chapter:

(vii)

"Equipment" means:

(A)

All-terrain vehicles

Multipurpose vehicle

Other machinery, equipment, implements or attachments used for or in connection with one (1) or more of the following purposes:

(I)

Lawn, garden, golf course, landscaping or grounds maintenance;

(II)

Planting, cultivating, irrigating, grazing, harvesting and producing of agricultural products;

(III)

Raising, feeding, tending to or harvesting products from, livestock or any related activity;

(IV)

Industrial, construction, maintenance, or utility activities or applications;

(V)

"Equipment" does not include self-propelled vehicles designed primarily for the transportation of persons or property on a street or highway.

Section 2.
This act is effective July 1, 2011.
