WORKING DRAFT 2012 STATE OF WYOMING 12LSO-0053 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0028 Environmental quality council-executive secretary . Sponsored by: Joint Minerals, Business and Economic Development Interim Committee A BILL for AN ACT relating to the environmental quality council; authorizing the environmental quality council to employ an executive secretary ; providing for appointment by the governor ; providing that the governor or the environmental quality council may remove the executive secretary; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 35 ‑ 11 ‑ 112(d) is amended to read: 35 ‑ 11 ‑ 112. Powers and duties of the environmental quality council. (d) The council may employ an executive secretary . Any ex ecutive secretary employed shall be appointed by the governor from a list of three (3) qualified candidates submitted by the council . Any appointment under this subsection shall be with the advice and consent of the senate in accordance with W.S. 28 ‑ 12 ‑ 101 through 28 ‑ 12 ‑ 103 . The executive secretary may be removed by the governor at the governor's pleasure , or by the council at the council's pleasure. The director and his staff shall provide the council with meeting facilities, secretarial or clerical assistance, supplies and such other assistance as the council may require in the performance of its duties. Section 2 . This act is effective July 1, 2012. (END) 1 HB0028
