Sponsored by: Representative(s) Throne and Senator(s) Ross A BILL for AN ACT relating to subdivisions; providing for an analysis of a potential subdivision's impact on local school districts; providing for review and recommendations; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 18 ‑ 5 ‑ 306(a)(intro) and by creating a new paragraph (xiii), 18 ‑ 5 ‑ 308 by creating a new subsection (d) and 18 ‑ 5 ‑ 316(b) by creating a new paragraph (xi) are amended to read: 18 ‑ 5 ‑ 306. Minimum requirements for subdivision permits. (a) The board shall require, and with respect to paragraph paragraphs (xii) and (xiii) of this subsection may require, the following information to be submitted with each application for a subdivision permit, provided the board may by rule exempt from any of the following requirements of this subsection or subsection (c) of this section and may exempt from paragraph paragraphs (xii) and (xiii) of this subsection the subdivision of one (1) or more units of land into not more than a total of five (5) units of land: (xiii) Review and recommendation from the school board of any school district in which the subdivision will be located regarding the potential impacts of the subdivision on the schools within the district . 18 ‑ 5 ‑ 316. Requirements for large acreage subdivision permits. (b) The board may require any or all of the following information to be submitted with an application for a subdivision permit pursuant to this section: (xi) Review and recommendation from the school board of any school district in which the subdivision will be located regarding the potential impacts of the subdivision on the schools within the district. Section 2. This act shall apply to subdivision applications filed after the effective date of this act. Section 3. This act is effective July 1, 2012. (END) 1 HB0034
