WORKING DRAFT 2012 STATE OF WYOMING 12LSO-0040 SENATE FILE NO. SF0009 Allocation of sales tax paid on diesel to highways . Sponsored by: Joint Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs Interim Committee A BILL for AN ACT relating to sales tax; allocating sales tax revenues from diesel fuel to the highway fund; specifying use of the revenues; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 39 ‑ 15 ‑ 111 by creating a new subsection (p) is amended to read: 39 ‑ 15 ‑ 111. Distribution. (p) Vendors shall annually provide the department information indicating the amount of tax under this article collected from sales of diesel fuel and the department shall verif y the amount . The state treasurer shall annually deposit th at portion of the verified amount which would otherwise be credited to the state general fund under paragraph (b)(i) of this section into the highway fund to be used for the construction, improvement or maintenance of Wyoming's highways. Section 2. Th is act is effective July 1, 2013 . (END) 1 SF0009
