AN ACT relating to child support; providing that the legal obligation of a noncustodial parent to provide support for their adult child with a mental or physical disability may be adjusted upon a showing that an adjustment of the child support is in the best interest of the adult child; providing a burden of proof; and providing for an effective date.

(a)

A noncustodial parent may petition
for an adjustment of child support for a child who has reached the age of majority but qualifies under
W.S.

(a)(i) to continue to receive support from the noncustodial parent. The court shall allow
the
adjustment in cases where the noncustodial parent proves by a preponderance of the evidence that an adjustment of
the
child support order is in the best interest of the child who has reached the age of majority.

(b)

A noncustodial parent petitioning the court for an adjustment under this section shall adhere to the requirements of W.S. 20
