Subject: Requiring the Secretary of State to print state directories and constitutions. Summary/Major Elements: The Secretary of States Office currently prints copies of the state directory and the state constitution; however the office is not required to do so by law. This act requires the Secretary of States Office to print those documents and make those documents available to the public upon payment of fees. Fees will be set by rule in an amount sufficient to recover the cost of printing.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL HOUSE BILL NO. 0031 ENROLLED ACT NO. 68, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SIXTY-SECOND LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2013 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to the secretary of state; providing for printing of state directories and the Wyoming constitution; providing for fees for documents; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 9 ‑ 1 ‑ 303 by creating a new subsection (d) is amended to read: 9 ‑ 1 ‑ 303. Powers and duties; affixing seal to and countersigning commissions and documents; certified copies of acts; file of commissions and appointments; printing of documents. (d) The secretary of state shall print the following documents and make those documents available to the public upon tender of fees prescribed by rule and regulation , which fees shall be sufficient to the extent practical to recover the s ecretary of s tate's cost of the document provided : (i) The constitution of the state of Wyoming; (ii) A directory of state departments and selected employees. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2013.
