This act includes falsely reporting to a 911 system as an
offense punishable as false reporting to a law enforcement agency.

The act also creates a misdemeanor offense of knowingly
reporting to a 911 system situations which the person does not reasonably
believe requires prompt service in order to preserve or protect human life or
property.

The new offense is punishable by a fine of up to $750
and imprisonment for up to six months, or both.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

(a)

A person who knowingly reports falsely to a
911 emergency reporting system,

law enforcement agency or a fire department that:
