registration fees for purple heart recipients as specified; limiting

; providing conforming amendments;

providing for reimbursement of
revenues to counties;

and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

(b)

Application for license plates under subsection (a) of this section shall be annually made to the county treasurer as provided by
this article
. Application forms shall be available at all county treasurer's offices.

xcept as provided in subsection (j), no additional fee shall be charged for the license plates provided by this section.

Registration fees; exemptions.

(b)

The fees prescribed by subsection (a) of this section are modified for owners of the following vehicles:

(xv)

A disabled veteran who receives fifty percent (50%) or more service connected disability compensation from the United States department of veteran's affairs is exempt from the fees imposed under subsection (a) of this section for one (1) vehicle, other than a bus or motor home, owned by the claimant. Application for the exemption under this paragraph shall be in accordance with W.S. 31

215. County treasurers shall file notice with the department of revenue of the number of exemptions
granted and the fiscal impact on revenues.
No person claiming an exemption under paragraph (xvi) of this subsection shall claim an exemption under this paragraph

County treasurers shall file notice of the exemptions granted and revenue lost and may be reimbursed by the state treasurer for all or a portion of revenue lost from funds appropriated for that purpose, in the same manner and subject to the same time limitation as provided for veteran exemptions under W.S. 39

102(k).
No person claiming an exemption under paragraph (xv) of this subsection shall claim an exemption under this paragraph.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2013.
