This act additionally allows for appointment of a public defender in a matter arising out of an action pending in juvenile court if the matter is a child in need of supervision proceeding.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL HOUSE BILL NO. 0154 ENROLLED ACT NO. 66, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SIXTY-SECOND LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2013 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to public defenders; providing for public defenders to represent children in child in need of supervision proceedings; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 7 ‑ 6 ‑ 112(a)(i) is amended to read: 7 ‑ 6 ‑ 112. Applicability of provisions. (a) This act does not apply to: (i) Matters arising out of an action pending in the juvenile courts of this state unless it is in a juvenile delinquency proceeding or a child in need of supervision proceeding ; Section 2. This act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
