WORKING DRAFT 2013 STATE OF WYOMING 13LSO-0410 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0162 Data exchange security. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Teeters A BILL for AN ACT relating to information sharing among governmental agencies; specifying minimum privacy and security requirements for sharing information; imposing oversight upon the department of enterprise technology services; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 9 ‑ 2 ‑ 2906( b)(ix) is amended to read: 9 ‑ 2 ‑ 2906. Office of the state chief information officer and director; authority; duties of department. (b) The department shall carry out the following coordination and management functions: (ix) Encourage information technology coordination, information sharing and collaboration among all branches and levels of government in Wyoming . ; In addition, the department shall at minimum require governmental entities to include the following components within information sharing agreements: (A) Protection of information confidentiality as required by applicable state and federal law; (B) Maintenance of individually identifiable information in a secured manner accessible only by authorized personnel; (C) Training of personnel accessing data in privacy, security and the use of shared information . Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2013. (END) 1 HB0162
