A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to
taxation; providing for a study of the benefits of
the state of
Wyoming entering into an international fuel tax agreement;
and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section

.

(a)

The joint revenue interim committee shall study the
benefits of the state of
Wyoming entering into an international fuel tax agreement and the potential for revenues accruing to the state from any such agreement to be used in lieu of revenues generated from tax
es
on fuels. The study shall also consider:

(
i
)

The necessity and feasibility of dedicating revenues resulting from an international fuel tax agreement to
Wyoming roads
;

(ii)

The potential for redistributing fuel tax revenues, available as a result of an international fuel tax agreement, to
the state highway system and to
counties, cities and towns for bridges, roads and streets.

(b)

The committee
may
introduce legislation in the 2014 budget session as it determines appropriate to authorize Wyoming's participation in an international fuel tax agreement
.

his act is effective immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constitution.
