A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to the Wyoming cultural trust fund board; expanding membership on the board; providing for ex officio membership on the board; providing for terms; providing an appropriation; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Wyoming cultural trust fund board; creation; members.

(a)

There is created the Wyoming cultural trust
fund
board. The board shall consist of
five (5)

eight

members, as follows:

(
i
)

The administrator of the division of cultural resources or his designee
who shall serve as an ex officio member of the board, without a vote
; and

(
ii
)

Four (4)

Seven
(

)
persons appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate
from the following nominees:

who are residents of Wyoming.

The members shall be appointed from each of the appointment districts set forth in W.S.

Board membership shall reflect a broad spectrum of experiences, including, but not limited to, the arts, history, archaeology,
humanities
and cultural and heritage tourism.

(b)

Except for the

initial appointees, one (1) member shall be appointed for one (1) year, two (2) members shall be appointed for two (2) years and two (2) members

Thereafter each board member shall serve for a term of

202. A vacancy on the board shall be filled for the balance of the unexpired term. The board shall select one (1) of its members to serve as chairman.

Section 3.

There is appropriated
four
thousand dollars ($

,000.00)
from the
general
fund to the
Wyoming cultural trust fund board.
This appropriation shall be for the period beginning with the effective date of this act and ending June 30, 201
4
.

This appropriation shall only be expended for the purpose of
staffing the cultural trust fund board.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, this appropriation shall not be transferred or expended for any other purpose and any unexpended, unobligated funds remaining from this appropriation shall revert as provided by law on
