WORKING DRAFT 2013 STATE OF WYOMING 13LSO-0263 SENATE FILE NO. SF0057 Highway speed limit increase. Sponsored by: Senator(s) Coe A BILL for AN ACT relating to speed limits; allowing an increase in the maximum speed limit on specified paved roadways; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 301( c ) is amended to read: 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 301. Maximum speed limits . (c) Subject to W.S. 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 203( b), t he maximum speed limits set forth in this section may be altered as authorized in W.S. 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 302 and 31 ‑ 5 ‑ 303. The maximum speed limit for paved roadways set in paragraph (b)(iv) of this section may be raised to seventy (70) miles per hour if the superintendent determines upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that increasing the speed limit to seventy (70) miles per hour would not prevent safe and reasonable vehicle operation. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2013. (END) 1 SF0057
